Bursting out

It was a hot hot day here, reaching 33 degrees by mid afternoon.  We've mowed the lawns this evening, once the sun went down and it was a lot cooler.

This photo is a bud from our Bottle brush tree.  It's just started flowering - probably due to the heat.

My parents arrived this afternoon for Christmas.  We've finally put our Christmas tree up this afternoon.....it's now starting to feel like Christmas!
