Dickens Village
Macy's (the former Wanamaker's Department Store) has acquired the Christmas Dickens Village of its mid-century (and out-of-business) rival, Strawbridge & Clothier Department Store.
One strolls through the streets of 19th-century London and peeps into houses, filled with life-sized mechanized characters depicting Dicken's A Christmas Carol.
Sebastien was drawn into its spell--here he is in front of Scrooge who has just discovered Marley's face in his door knocker. He's looking up at the ghosts of Marley and several other unhappy people who visit Scrooge that evening before he goes to bed.
The photo quality is bad (very low lighting and too much pressure, with a line of families waiting behind us) but I loved the look of wonder in Sebastien's eyes.
