Inside Stirling castle

As a member of the National Trust for Sotland I often take advantage of it to visit the gift shop in Stirling castle thus avoiding all the Christmas hassle in the town centre.
 
At this time of year it's almost empty of tourists and a good source of blips.
 
Here we have Helen Ross, “ in character” as a court embroider in King James Palace.
 
Her engaging storytelling helps to bring history alive and today was no exception even though there were only four of us in the room.
