Hoola

A slightly unexpectedly pleasant day pottering around Edinburgh with the kids after dragging them out of their beds at an ungodly 8am so we could hit the sweet spot between the commuters getting work for nine and the bulk of the shoppers who might turn up around 11. Worked a treat. A wander and a cuppa at John Lewis, a walk up the Scayles, back down to Waterstones, lunch, along George Street back to the car, stop off at the office to pick up some things and then home.

The afternoon's cycle suffered from lunch still sitting in a big porkie ball being digested. And the headwind. Mustn't forget that.

Ellen is enjoying her ukulele, acquired at Scayles despite Ewan's recorder being a tenor rather than a tenner. She already had the rest of the costume.
