Angel with Hat
Brought this from Brazil - it was carved by an artist we made friends with, out of part of an old wooden beam from a demolished building in the beautiful colonial town of Olinda (founded in 1535). He'd carve angels in a vertical row, but I asked him to do one for me like this, to go over our bed. Here, in Sutton, we've put them, for now, over the front room door.
Brother and family here for the night - just had a good dinner together, and now they've gone off to visit the family's Baby.
