Double Exposure

Apologies for giving you as  second dose of deer in the paddock behind our house but on this occasion they were more obliging and stood around for nearly half an hour so I took my time to get a decent exposure which cold be really sharp and well-focussed.

We have to  be a bit careful when we let the dogs out that there are not deer in the field as Baxter, in particular will be jumping up and down at the fence barking. Fortunately as yet he has not dived over the fence as he is well able to do as he has jumped over fences of a similar height when we have been out walking.

We had a bit of a 'Do' with him at the weekend when he disappeared at the end of the walk only to be seen chasing, at first, a fox and later some deer. It took us nearly hour to find him as he had managed to get himself stuck on part of the river bank that is surrounded by a high wall and not easily reachable from the other bank of the river which has a path along it. In the end I used some steps to climb over onto the paddock and found that he had somehow managed to scramble over the high wall back into the paddock. Such are the joys of owning a dogs who is essentially a hunting dog, bred in Spain for rabbit hunting.
