Light and dark

This is one of the small forest of wooden trees that are lit in our house as we approach the end of each year.

This evening as I lit the candles my thoughts were with the good people of Glasgow  who this afternoon experienced a refuse lorry careering out of control in the city centre killing 6 people and injuring several others.  It's not thought to be a terrorist attack, but a terrible, terrible accident.

I checked in with two people in particular: my friend and comrade Jan, who lives in Norwich but is a Glasgow lass with friends and family in Glasgow and with HoodedPigWoman Imogen, a BlipChum who lives there.  They - and theirs - are safe for which I give heartfelt thanks.
