Pretty purple
Remember how I said I'm more of a vege grower rather than flowers?
I was thinking last night my beginnings in learning about flowers and growing them had come to an abrupt end as my petunias look wilted. I understand that they die off toward end of summer but thought surely not already even after replanting in potting mix and watering.
They didn't look happy.
Then this morning i woke hearing the downpour in the night to discover my little purple ladies were very much alive and oh so stunning. Their scent wafts past when I step outside to hang washing and I adored the view of them sitting on my step having coffee this morning.
I wish I had the same luck with my Gerbera. I noticed as i sat that it's beautifully flowering head had fallen. No. Wait. Not fallen - been snapped off by curious little 1year old fingers. The evidence was pretty clear when I got closer as petals lay along the brick edging and a happy toddler came to me with dirty fingers.
Luckily the gerbera seems to have another 2 heads that have yet to flower. I doubted whether growing flowers was a good idea but he'll have to learn and I'll soon learn which plants like for instance silver beet can take a knock and not suffer.
Had a day at home Kanye wasn't coping with much and it took until lunch time for him to reset if you will. It's really tiring when he's in autistic mode he just doesn't cope with much. He screams a lot to deal with everything which is hard.
This afternoon Kanye and Marley went to stay at my mums for the night. I had lots to do and needed a break. Apparently they have been angels and had a great time.
When Andre got home we walked with Harper to get dinner from the thai container which is close to us. Andres hesitant about thai as he doesn't like coriander but we ordered and I proved they didn't add coriander to everything!
