I'm late for Christmas . . .

. . .  yep, all of it - decorations, making homemade goodies, buying presents, wrapping said presents, cards and mailing, festive spirit, singing carols, light tours, time with friends, "peace on earth, good will to men" . . .
This morning, saw the Mutts comic strip by Patrick McDonnell, which put it right :  "Here goes nothing!"  Mooch (the cat) carries a gaily wrapped box to his friend Earl (the dog).  When Earl opens it, it is empty!  "Nope" says Mooch, "it's filled with LOVE!"  Earl says "Mooch, it's just what I wanted."  Mooch replies "I didn't know what else to get you."
