Winter Solstice

Today is the shortest day of the year. The good news is that the days will start getting longer. The bad news is that there is no real light to be found. It is uniformly dull and grey outside, although the newspaper promised us sun peeking through the clouds.

I do like the green grass appearing everywhere, but the most dramatic light would probably be the Christmas bulbs along our fence which light at dusk. This picture was taken at 1:43pm.
