Farewell until next year

The pups are leaving to head to sea. When I arrived for my warden duties this morning, there were 13 pups playing in a stream of water and when I left this afternoon there were only 3 left. Here are 3 heading off to sea on their first adventure crossing the half mile of marsh. I love the way one of them is looking back -maybe undecided?
