West Church

Before heading back down the road to Glasgow we went to the service at the West Church. As always a very friendly welcome and an enjoyable service.

This is the church that Jen and I were married in 5 years ago. It's a church that has really moved with the times. It used to be a traditional church with a lower level and a balcony level. They renovated it a couple of years before we got married so now there is a cafe and fair trade shop downstairs and the 'church' upstairs. It means the whole community uses it even outside of service times. A great assest to the town I think!

Journey home was a bit hairy with so much surface water on the road. At times you could see waves of spray coming from the other carriageway. We made sure we took our time and got home safe and sound!
