Their goose is not cooked!

This afternoon we took a run up to the Antonine Wall at Roughcastle. It must be called that on account of the road, it was shocking! However we were delighted to discover upwards of a hundred geese grazing in a field between the railway and the old Roman wall.
What a miserable day it has been weather-wise. Wet and windy all day but at least not cold. Thank goodness it is the Shortest Day and we are now on the long climb back to Spring.
