Earth, water & sunset

Today is the shortest day of the year. Blipfoto requested to get sunset blips. So I drove to the Camargue on the shore of the Vaccarés and waited for the right light.
The Camargue is an island between the two arms of the Rhône River. It is a national park and a protected area for its rich wildlife. The Vaccarés is a large salty lake in the middle of the delta. Today, the Mistral was blowing. It usually gives a reddish hue to sunsets like on this photo.
This is a vast flat land made of earth and marshes where only a few shrubs and plants grow.
