Plaster pears

I've been living in my flat in Streatham for almost 30 years.  After all that time, it's only today that I've noticed unusual decorative motifs on some of the houses along my street.

These pears are in white plaster.  The others are brick or terracotta.

It's a credit to Blipfoto that it's enhancing my powers of observation.
