Holiday Party with Friends

Tonight we set aside the worries and woes of an unplanned retirement and loss of health care and just celebrated life,  the joy of having dear friends that support each other, being kind and loving to each other and letting a spirit of peace and happiness settle over us all....well and a bit of sangria and other spirits too:):)

We also celebrated the birthday of one of our driver friends who was a shop steward along with me....who after I retired continued on as the head shop steward....so we sang Woody Guthrie's Union Maid song with an added special verse to honor her.  I strummed my 12 string and passed out all sorts of noise maker instruments to my friends...including Big R bashing on the "one man band" thing we have.  All the insturments in my collection hidden in a closet come out for these special occasions.  When Terry--whose birthday it was---walked through the door to our home we began our raucous song surprising her and honoring her dedication to all her fellow workers.  Thanks Terry for all you do!!!  Terry is sitting between Big R and my friend J.  Everyone brought food so the we consumed many delicious goodies!   Happy Holidays from us to you!
