USB Hell
I have, at last count, 6 on-board USB 1.1 sockets, 4 on-board USB 2 sockets (1 of which is used for a hub), and 4 USB 2 hub ports. Since the last move some of the on-board ports appear to have stopped working, or work intermittently. I have 2 devices (scanner and printer) that only work in on-board sockets rather than USB hub sockets, A wi-fi dongle that is badly shaped and uses up 3 sockets in reality rather than the 1 it is supposed to. 1 socket is used for the mouse & keyboard receiver. 1 socket is used for a graphics tablet and 1 for the cable that can be used to dock my phone, camera or PSP.
In theory I should be fine but I seem to find myself constantly crawling round the back of the PC to replug things to get them sorted out. Which brings me to my main gripe of the last few days... Why aren't all the sockets on the front of the PC/TV/Amplifier? It would make setting up so much easier...
