Ffwrn bakery and cafe in Fishguard hosted the Goodwick Brass Band this year, drawing a large and wrapt audience, while the Salvation Army carol singers took their usual slot in the Saturday market, in a noisy gauntlet either side of the entrance (quite menacing actually, I see why they're called an army). The young brass players were splendid though, while a young waitress struggled to serve coffee through the packed crowd.
