Christmas Dinner

Shamefully, I still don't know how to add a link to a previous comment or to another blipper.  If I could I'd link this picture to DoingOk who a few days ago asked what kind of bird a pheasant was as I'd said we were having some for our Christmas dinner.  I spotted this one in a neighbour's garden today, looking nice and plump and waiting for my oven.

Being set in his little ways resistant to change, Mr C was reluctant to accept my suggestion that we take a tramp round the moor the wrong way round in the opposite way round from his usual way.  I said he'd see stuff in a new light and how true that was.  Going down through the beech wood we saw lots of boxes low down on the trees.  We were wondering if they were for beech nuts for the red squirrels?  Anyway it was a lovely sunny morning though cold.  It was good to get a bit of air as apparently it is going to be dull and wet for a few days.
