Out on a recce of the area, it would appear.

Nice chat with an old guy in one of the Levenhall bird hides who was a vet for ten years, before becoming a historian and has most recently been working on the archives of Bannockburn. Interesting chap, and not at all the slightly reserved birder you often (usually?) meet in a hide (reminded me of a chap in a French hide animatedly pointing out Jack Snipe and Spoonbills).
