The approach to Farmer Dare's house

We have lived in the village for eight years now and I saw this driveway of trees for the first time today. They lead to the home of Farmer Dare. The house was around in the time of King John and although it is a manor house it was always tennanted. Farmer Dare took up residence in the 40's. I concede defeat. Eight years just does not cut it!
