Cluedo

Dan and Abi will be off to Cape Town with their mum, Hannelie, for Christmas, so we are getting in an early Christmas Day, today. We *nearly* managed to get everyone together - I started trying to find a date everyone could manage about two months ago - but in the end Hannah had an opportunity to go skiing, which just goes to show that being an impoverished student these days isn't quite the same experience as it was in the mid-eighties.

It all went very well. Abi made a schedule, which we pretty much adhered to, and her handmade 'little presents' were a treat. Hannelie had done an amazing job with the food and I ended up feeling properly stuffed in an authentic Christmas fashion.

After we'd tidied up (see schedule, above), the kids decided they wanted to play Cluedo, as Charlie, Hannah, Izzy and Milly had bought the 'Sherlock' version for Dan. I must admit there are very few board games that I really enjoy and I have to be in the mood for 'Cluedo'. This afternoon I wanted to relax, not concentrate, but I was very happy sitting at the table with the kids, watching them play together.

Incidentally, the headphones Dan is wearing were a present from Abi - who is ace at presents - and he wore them most of the day, even though they weren't turned on :-)
