Autumn remnant

I had a few other options, happy holly berries and such, but  was drawn to this one. (Might be the chocolate colored leaves...) There is but a few spots of color left in the recently so brilliant pear leaves. The forecast calls for extremely heavy rain for the next 48 hours. Flood warnings are up in most of Western Oregon. We are on a hill, so safe in that regard. Maybe I'll get that scarf for Aspen knitted in time for Christmas after all...
