Moth

Cloudy and warm is the weather that the currant clearwing moths (Synanthedon tipuliformis) take flight and mate. Their grubs tunnel into the branches of the currant bushes, causing considerable damage. They seem to me to be much smaller than usual. The bumblebees are too. It must have something to do with the erratic weather we have experienced.
