A day in the life of a swan

I was woken up this morning by Anna wearing her tutu, received from grandparents yesterday, asking to have her hair put in a bun so she could wear her Swan Lake headband.  She then wore this outfit until it was time to go out to Durham, for which she changed clothes into her new party dress and thin tights - hardly suitable attire today because it was freezing in town.  She didn't complain though.  Too busy spending her birthday money on lots of lovely things, including a present for Jack, very kind girl that she is.

Lunch and then home to make Christmas decorations (wearing the swan lake outfit again) before heading out to rehearsals for tomorrow's show.  Ballet shoes are now in the washing machine, bags are packed.  Need to remember the things for her friends' birthday party that we're headed to straight from the show...maybe on Monday we will sit down.  It's starting to feel more like Christmas now though.
