Washing up

It is so nice to have friends round for lunch, but even with a dishwasher there is still plenty of washing up!!
It was worth it as we have had a lovely time.
Lunch started at 1 pm and they went home at 7. 30 pm.
The meal went well inspite of the avocado's not being ripe enough, for the quacamole,  which I layered in a glass with fromage blanc  and chantilly cream, and topped with thin strips of smoked salmon.
This starter was followed by a cassoulet, and for dessert I made a pineapple souffle .
We started with a sparkling Saumur from the Loire region of France.
The red was a magnum ,Meerlust, 2004, Rubicon, from Stellenbosch , South Africa, which our friends brought.
With the souffle we had a small glass of sweet wine, Muscat de Beaumes de Venise.
Good job F. and J. had a taxi home!

I think it might be an early night.
