Close Encounters of the Christmas Kind...

The ceiling lights in Newcastle's Eldon Square Shopping Centre look rather like flying saucers, reminiscent of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"! The space-travel effect is enhanced by the current wording on the banner on the right of the picture - "Step into the Future"!! I've been intending to blip a photo of these lights for a while.

At the moment however they have lots of Christmas lights hanging from them as well. I'm not sure whether or not it adds to the alien effect but I thought they were worth a blip :)
