The arrival

I was woken by John Lewis calling at 7am to say they'd be with me in 20 minutes and they were. What service. So this end of the day the two new tellies are installed in the bedrooms, one in mine. How decadent and naughty. I'm so looking forward to snuggling up in bed to watch films during cold winter nights.

C and the boys arrived at about 11am and C went into MK to meet T to do the rest of their Christmas shopping leaving the boys with me.

I played cluedo, battleships and snakes and ladders with them all and it was lovely to spend some quality time with them straight away. I haven't seen them for two years, except on Skype. B is now 13 and a proper teenager. J is mad on soccer and little W at 7 is a cutey pie. We had one fisticuffs with tears but I think I dealt with it OK. I even managed to give them some lunch without incident...

L kindly came over from work to put up the tellies and then C and T arrived back at 2.30 bringing Krispy Cremes with them so we sat around the table in my newly furnished dining room with coffee and caught up on the family news.

They left Perth on Wednesday sometime. Their flights were good and the change in Singapore, simply consisted of walking from one plane to the other. C and T got seats with legroom and the three boys were seated two rows back next to each other, which I think C and T were more than happy about, though the other passengers possibly not! They also had a good night in the Novotel and used their pool and spa which was a reasonable reward after a long journey.

P and P are due for tea later then we're off out to see P's concert in Northampton while the Aussies get an early night. They seem to be managing their jet lag pretty well so far.
