Blinded By The Light

This will probably be my last-ever Blipfoto. The redesign of the website means it's no longer a place I feel at home with. The white background gives off too much glare, so that it hurts the eyes and I can't see the colours of the photos properly. And the images are too large and the font is unattractive and I can't choose the thumbnails, to list just a few of the other changes that are for the worse as far as I'm concerned. Most importantly, it's lost that feeling of being a loving, close community that I've been happy to share my thoughts and photos with, and just seems cold and impersonal.
So I'm moving on; sad to be losing touch with my fellow blippers who have provided such kind words and encouragement over the last 9 months, but looking forward to the challenge of finding a new home for my words and pictures. I doubt if it will be another photo-sharing website. I'm looking at revitalising my on-line journal with Penzu (which in a sense is where I started), or perhaps setting up a blog with WordPress, as the ability to share what I choose to has been an important part of this experience.
To those of you with whom I'm parting company: goodbye and thanks for all the fish!
