Fields of Green
It was such a gorgeous morning that I took an extra long walk. Activity, fresh air, and sunshine are a great combination for stress reduction. This field has been used for different purposes over the years. When we first lived here it was a pumpkin patch, especially beautiful in the fall when it was set up as an attraction for children and families to pick their own pumpkins. After that it became a field where aloe plants were grown and harvested. Now it seems to be vacant except for irrigation lines which were left there and scattered shrubs. The vivid colors were what attracted me. You can see what is locally named "Sleeping Indian", a section of the mountains at the far right that looks vaguely like a supine person with the head, neck, chest and body visible in the distance.
