Having FUNNNNNN

I couldn't motivate myself to get out and about today after the GREAT night last night.. (See the blip) I had some pics on the comp from after midnight so I decided to use one of those.

Some of the blips I post about China may seem to make it a bit of a dark and colourless life for Chinese people. Admittedly, pictures of people doing things the same as what happens in the west doesn't make for very interesting blips or stories, so I tend to take pics of the unusual. It may, however, give the impression that the Chinese people lack a little 'life' but they don't.

As I said in yesterday's blip, after dinner last night we went to karaoke. I sang too but mostly sat and watched my friends and colleagues enjoying themselves. It was a wonderful thing to observe. Chinese people have a simple innocence in them that when it comes out, it is beautiful to see. Because of the vast number of people here, they struggle so hard for what they have, that enjoyment has another level to it. The sheer joy with which they ate, drank, sang, drank, laughed drank and drank last night reminded me of how much I admire them and want to try to find that simple innocence within myself.
