No mince pies!!!

Today, we went to the only shop that we know normally sells mince pies around here, and they’d sold out, and weren’t getting any more in!  Devastating!  I’m not really a baker but may have to try to rustle something up.  

Otherwise, I believe this is a Western Leaf-footed Bug on an Acer seed pod.  I do like his 1970s' bell-bottomed trousers!

I’m sorry I’ve not quite got my act together with commenting on all my fellow Followings since the new site came up.  I do apologise.  I’m not quite used to the commenting system using my phone.  The whole ‘too many stars and hearts allocation’ glitch has thrown me a bit as well – I really do hope they get that fixed quickly – I’m feeling very guilty.  Happily, I know it’ll all get fixed in the end.
