I was sent this book today...

I was sent this book today from a dear frind in Australia, Robbie. It is of woman, Lilian Medland who began illustrating birds in the UK in the early 1900's , and then went on to illustrate Australian birds. The book is called 'Seen but Not Heard' by Christobel Mattingley.

Here is an illustration of a Tawny Owl...it makes me want to do something like this very much.
