Arc de Triomphe

Definitely a sense of triumph at having accomplished Christmas shopping - albeit on a wet day in Saintes!

This shot is taken through the Arch of Germanicus, by the River Charente and looking towards the cathedral of St Peter.  There's a Christmas market on the riverside, hence those trees in the foreground, but it wasn't open in the morning as I hurried past trying not to get my camera wet.
