Parked up for Christmas

Another lovely day out with a good friend, this time to the Wedgwood Museum, in Barlaston, not far from Stoke on Trent.

Another Christmas dinner  (well - Staffordshire free range turkey is THE best).

More chat and interesting things to see.

The museum was recently rescued by public donation and the Art Fund. The Wedgwood pension fund was in trouble and it seemed likely that the marvellous collection, tracing the history of pottery and fine china, was threatened to be sold.

It's located in the one building on the estate that isn't a building site, as they build sumptuous new dwellings (probably part of the rescue)

The photo is of Aston Marina (near Stone), which I passed on the way home. It's full.  Narrow boats in a safe haven for the winter.  I didn't bother with the farm shop - a bit of a false name - just an excuse to charge extra, nothing to do with the producers ....
