Productive day; students were reasonably compliant which makes my job a bit easier.

As much as I enjoyed my school days, I'm not sure I'd relish being in the current educational climate - too much pressure on staff and schools to perform in league tables inevitably means the pressure works its way down to the classroom and in my opinion, has a damning impact on the students' experience. Then again, I suppose students' attitudes towards school have changed significantly over the years; lots seem to expect learning and success to just magically happen to them without any effort on their part.

Not a rant, just emptying my thoughts which is what this is for isn't it?
