Day-to-day policing role:
As a community police officer my main day-to-day duties involve responding to a variety of calls from members of the public to ensure we are keeping people safe. We carry out patrols at local schools and engage with the pupils, as well as attending local community council meetings where we can hear the concerns of our local residents. Also, it's always nice when we have the opportunity to meet up with people (and Santa!) at community events, such as the switching on of the Christmas lights which always gets everyone in to the festive spirit!
