New Look

It's not just Blipfoto that has had a makeover. This is St John's at the west end of Princes Street, where there is often a painting on the black background. It is always topical and most times thought provoking. This time it is of Malala Yousafzai, presumably to celebrate her recent sharing of the Nobel Peace Prize. The eyes were being completed today and have a very piercing quality about them, as if Malala is questioning the viewer. Goodness knows what her reaction is to the killing of the 141 people in the school, and the subsequent retribution attack by the Pakistan army. She was brought here to recover from an attack on her by the Taliban, and she wants to return home to make things better there. A brave person.
I'll keep my thoughts about blip to myself, as we've only part of the package of changes at the moment.
