The old alleys of St Peter Port #7
I'm back in the Old Quarter again today and this pic is taken only yards away from yesterdays, basically looking back to where I was standing yesterday.
As well as being an old cobbled alley it also has one of the pumps of St Peter Port which I have been doing an occasional series on.
And as well as all that there is a Guernsey institution in the foreground... Sam's Gentleman's Hairdresser, as shown in the small sign to the right of his window or the new updated SAM'S SALON as the larger sign announces. I'm sure Sam's has been there since Methuselah was a boy and used to specialise in "short back and sides" which many small boys sported. Not that I'm knocking "short back and sides" because that's basically my hairstyle but I hope I have a slightly more stylish though more white version.
