Sunset over Alexandra
Marie and I travlled to Central Otago today staying in Alexandra. Its been very cold today and we had rain most of the way down but that does not by any means put a damper on the beautiful scenery. We stopped at St Bathans this is an old goldmining town and area where they used sluicing (high pressure water canons) to wash the gold out of the hills. The forcast is for snow over night and it feels like it too,I shot this photo this evening as the sun was dissapearing over the hills. The hills had a dusting of snow and these clouds were building up to dump more snow tonight.St Bathans and Clouds
