If I speak,
up
loud
and clear,
will you listen
to me
hard enough,
ignoring the roar
of the ocean waves
that roar
around your head?

If I stop,
just long enough,
that the space
between us
comes close
for just
a wee
while,
will you hold my
outstretched

and save me
from my
self indulgent
blown up
me.
