Mother's Day

We loved the Mother's Day service at St Monica's so much today, we hung around with coffee and cakes for the next mass, then the three of us toddled onto the playground, returning to hear the end of the third mass. It's one of the highlights of my year, standing on the altar with all the other mums celebrating the day, being handed the gift of a carnation. Feels incredibly special with the boys beside me. The young priest's parents were also in the congregation.
