Way Over Yonder
To finish off our flying visit, we went for a stroll this morning to the park, where Alexander got all wet in the fancy water feature in the kids' play area, but it wasn't such a nice day as yesterday, so we moved on to investigate the path to Newburn. Apparently it used to be the main road in the days of carts; it's pretty steep so I wouldn't have fancied being a passenger.
Alexander saw a girl ridng a horse and then sent Daddy up this slope to see what was over yonder. The Tyne was.
Then we had a very nice Sunday roast in the pub and set off home. Alexander greeted Glasgow by ralfing all his roast dinner up the moment we pulled off the motorway. After we'd cleaned him all up, I discovered the cat had puked all over the carpet too. It never rains but it pours.
Speaking of which, it is pouring, and now I have the electric blanket on. Lord preserve us from this weather.
