O is for ... Oaks

We've been here before. It was some time ago though, so you're forgiven for not remembering. Today has been one of the finest this spring, so we made the most of it in and around Flatford. I can recommend the cheese tart and plum marmalade.

We did however miss out on a row along the river. The girls were super keen, but misbehaving too much for my liking. Next time I'm sure they will have learned their lesson.

The Oaks is also the name of a hospital in Colchester. Mum has had her hip replaced and is up and about already. It's good to see her able to move without a great deal of pain.
