My first attempt and to blow my own trumpet it a little - bloody lovely - even though the oven decided to mysteriously turn itself off near the end - at least I didn't burn it, which has seemed to be my latest culinary issue.

After swimming lessons eldest tried to make bacon sandwiches (and burnt one side of the bacon - must be genetic)

Then while hubby went out for a spin on his new baby (I have at least sat on it now, although not with the engine running) we went to Toys R Us to spend tiddlers birthday money (they had already been on eBay and Amazon to identify potential ways to spend it)

Eldest had decided that he was cooking us macroni cheese for tea (which hubby hates) so we had to pop to sainsbury's to get some pancetta and fresh parmesan to zing it up a little. I have also had an urge to make a lemon drizzle so bought some lemons.

Some inroads have also been made into the 1000 piece jigsaw, although I still haven't cracked the top edge (its all sky!)
