Injured paw
What a busy day it has been.
We started early by going for a walk so that the dogs would settle whilst I was working on my exam paper. I got a lot done and am beginning to think, that I will actually finish it in time.
At 2 pm I turned the computer off, put the dogs in the car and drove to my friend Helle's place. Helle, Jette and I met to train dogs.
It was good. We talked a little about Whisper, cried a little and then we enjoyed the dogs that are still with us.
Hero cut his paw on a sharp stone yesterday and it has still been bleeding a little today, so I had to be careful with it when training. It is not easy to be careful with Hero though. He is a very powerful dog. Instead of training his routine - I thought that would be a bit too much for his foot - I started teaching him to life left and right paw on command. He knew 'right paw' on verbal cue, but left was all new to him. He did pick up rather quickly and this is him showing his injured left paw off - and his new skill of lifting it on command.
It has been a better day today...
