Cockermouth

This is the River Cocker from the Trout hotel garden. It looks pretty full now but it's still hard to imagine how much water must have been there when it flooded Cockermouth. There are lines painted on the walls inside the hotel showing where the water came up to, which was nearer the ceiling than the floor in some places. It is all restored now and we would highly recommend staying there.
