Tis the season
... for wild flower blips. When we were driving to Montlaur yesterday, I noticed lots of wild flowers along the dramatic Gorge du Congoust. It was a beautiful day today, so having failed to blip anything satisfying in the garden I popped out in the early evening to see what I could find.
There certainly is a trick to photographing small, windblown flowers -- a trick I don't have. I came back with two photos I liked: a lovely pink flower, which I've put in my blipfolio, and this, found by crawling around in the ditch by the side of the road.
As you can tell, I'm no botanist. I think maybe it's a common spotted orchid, but I'd be happy to be enlightened by someone more knowledgeable, for both this and the pretty pink flower. It's so lovely to find beauties like this just growing by the side of the road.
