Jonathan Livingston Seagull

Well I had intended to have a blip of today's water ski race, but despite taking plenty of shots, the action was too far away to produce a good image. On the way back from the harbour this gull hovered over my head using just the wind and his wings to remain almost motionless for an instant. As soon as it saw my lens it was off but I managed to get this shot.
Despite being flying pests that steal chips, plop on you from above and generally make too much noise, they are very graceful in flight.
