Travel day
Today was our travel day from Hangzhou to Shanghai. We would take the train around two o'clock so we decided that the morning would be a relaxed one. We watch the rest of our movie and I took a shower. Took a cab to the train station (because there is no other possibility in Hangzhou besides walking) and got our last pair of train tickets: Xi'an - Beijing.
The train to Shanghai took us less than an hour. The subway from the train station to the city center took us more than an hour. The hostel we were staying in is very big. Especially in comparison with the last ones. During our stay here we will be in a four-persons dorm. But for our first night we booked our own room, which even got up-grated so we had a very luxurious room. It was very nice not to have to share our room with other people..
In our enthusiasm to enjoy our own room I brook my bed and Beth managed to let her laptop plug fall on one of the mugs.
Once we were settled and re-energized we went for a nice walk along Nanjing Lu and the Bund of Shanghai. The lights and the buildings were beautiful. There were still a lot of people on the street and around 10 o'clock it was still a good 27 degrees outside.
I think I will enjoy this city.
